Presentations (28/5)

In English, 'I'll begin with' and 'Let's move on to' do very different jobs: use I'll when you are announcing something you alone will do, and Let's when you are inviting the audience to move together. Mixing them up is one of the most common errors non-native presenters make, so it is worth practising the distinction. A second confusion to watch: 'attendees' and 'audience' both describe the people listening, but 'attendees' is more formal and works best in written invitations or business contexts, while 'audience' is the natural spoken word during the presentation itself.
